Native Style Pottery Plates

Any idea what region these are coming from? Souvenir pieces?

Left hand one looks Pacific North West to me.

 

That's the bird that flies in ever decreasing circles shortly before disappearing.

The other one is a kid's drawing from one of these modern Islington families entitled 'My four daddies'

Yes, the plates are for sure not NW.....but Komokwa, that is sure a strange one you pictured.....what is the title? "Spirit of the keyboard?" "Qwerty?"

It's Davids alright .....the carving that is.....the design is a joint effort....but really mostly mine ! ( although there are things missing..)
I commissioned this mask from him in late 1999.......
It's called The Millennium Bug Mask !

 

And then behind my back he made a 2nd one....same title....& looking a whole hell of a lot more like the one I had envisioned...

Yup, I got good eyes. I don't own the one with the money in the mouth, but it is pretty well-known; "Commerce" or "the landlord."

 

The Politician ...& it's on the Lattimer web site for $1500.....that's either a steal....or no one wants Davids masks anymore!

Here's the 2nd one he did...using my design elements .....save for the mother board wiring on the head and below the cheeks...which he wanted on the ORIGINAL design ....but I vetoed..!

My design called for a Bukwas mask .....King of the Ghosts !!
As in ...".the Ghost in the machine".......as the starting premise for the overall design.

He used it here !
