I don't even know what that is......
    but the artist...isn't Grey Owl...

Grey Owl was the name British-born Archibald Belaney chose for himself when he took on a fraudulent First Nations identity for himself as an adult.

I read about Grey Owl ( 1888-1938 ). I know it's not him, but why does it say grey owl

It looks like a made in China souvenir.

Tourist item most likely made in Mexico for Big Bear Lake California tourist.

I could be Grey Owl in a few days if I wanted that. I could get a judge to change my legal name, or I could simply adopt it as a kind of pen-name or stage name, with no paperwork as long as I was only using it in connection with my souvenir-manufacturing biz. If biz was going to be ongoing, I might register it as a trademark with the govt. The person or biz that made your item I suspect simply uses it to help sell their stuff.

Hi Billy, maybe not a good idea to just show up out of the blue, do you have a phone number where you could contact her ... Joy.

Hollyblue pretty much suggested the same thing. 'Grey Owl 2009' sounded to me like one of those Indian themed sleep away camps, so went looking. Looks as though both items were made by some company that customizes them for different camping venues. :writer::turtle:

There is also a Big Bear Lake, and Big Bear Lake Lodge, in northeastern Minnesota. Maybe not as well-known as the one in California, but anyone from northern Minnesota is probably familiar with it.

That would be closer to Grey Owl in Canada.

Yes but Billy is very close to CA Big Bear and that’s where they’re most likely from.
