Featured Native American Saddle Blanket ID

Would these be considered native American saddle blankets? the double one measures 63" x 32.5" and the smaller one measures 31" x 28". Not sure if it's wool or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They do look like they are saddle blankets, but they are not Native American-made. They are likely from Mexico, or at least factory-made.

The key elements that indicate they are not Native American:

1) The thick, twisted cord sticking out of the corners, is usually a sure sign of a Mexican copy.

2) The yarn used appears to be a synthetic blend, not wool, another indication it's not Native American.

3) The heavy outer warp threads, should be the same yarn used in the body of the textile, not thicker.

These are indeed factory made and fairly common. I showed horses (mainly western discipline) throughout the 80s, 90s and early 2000s....these are reminiscent of everyday saddle pads from the 80s to early 90s. Nothing particularly special but still useful, you may get a few bucks on FB, look for tack pages.
