Featured Native American man with headdress

I bought a bunch of old photos recently and this was among them, so I thought I’d share! There’s nothing on the back except a very faint and impossible to read pencil mark. I’m in the UK so wonder how it got here… does it look authentic to you, or maybe theatrical? The waistcoat is beaded, and I love the headdress!

 

He isn't 'Grey Owl', who was English, but he does look like a non-native actor playing a Native American. I could be wrong, so let's wait for the others.
Maybe a studio photo to be signed and given to fans?

 

I see no reason that he's not 1st Nations....
the outfit looks legit...& likely from an early Wild West show.....

 

I agree, but he reminds me of some of the non-native actors. He also reminds me of some people overhere, but I guess it is just one of those faces.

In the past I have been asked if I was NA (even by First Nations people!), Roma, Spanish, Maltese, Moroccan, Mexican, Indian (by Surinam Hindostani) so I guess I also have one of those faces.

 

they made up those non native actors...to look native....
