Nambe metal & marble paperweight (?) Anyone recognize logo?

Wondering if this goes in the donation pile or the Ebay pile.

From what I can tell from looking at other Nambe products, they sometimes made custom orders. Seems to be a paperweight or desk decoration. Not old, but some of their items sell so thought I'd check.

Marble and metal, approx 4" across.

Does anyone recognize the logo or pattern on this? Thank you.

I believe the symbol was adopted from the Zia Pueblo sun symbol.

 

Just a little background. Nambe takes its name from the village of Nambe, not to be confused with Nambe Pueblo. I've seen it mistakenly listed on eBay as "Native American," but there is no tribal connection at all.

It does have a connection with Los Alamos, since the founder originally worked at the lab, and may have developed the "secret" formula for the silver-colored alloy while there. And for years, Nambe products were given as awards to employees at the lab.

The company's foundry moved from Nambe to Santa Fe, but about 8 years moved production of Nambe ware to China. None is made locally anymore.
