NA or not NA?

    Don't think it's NA. Maybe Mexican, or Central American.

    Both wood and paint look wrong.

    Agreed on paint not looking right. Wood I wasn’t sure. It didn’t match any other paint schemes I could find. Shape also didn’t match for what I found in search’s for NW tribe masks. Was hoping I was wrong but looks like maybe not.

    I've seen similar bird masks described as being Mexican and as being Guatemalan.

    I generally think of Guatemala when I see those distinctive lines around the eyes, based on similar ones in the collections of the Museum of International Folk Art, in Santa Fe.

    But definitely not Native American.

    Agree, not NW or other NA; and as said, the lines around the eyes are a characteristic of Guatemalan masks; but in most other ways this is not typical for a mask from Guatemala.

    My first thought was Guatemalan or Mexican and if Mexican, southern Mexico.
