I posted this on the old eBay boards about 5-6 years ago, but it cause such a ruckus that I gave it up as a lost cause and packed it away.
I just ran across my photos of it and thought I would try again.

It measures about 14 inches long and seems finely made.
If you need other info from me, I will back after making coffee for the other person (I have already had a pot :woot: ).

    LOLOL :D
No - it was over the age of it.
If I remember correctly, it was (sort of) decided that it was one of the northeast tribes. I don't remember if they got any closer than that.

    Ha! Well ok!
The design seems SO familiar to me so I'll stick with Mohican and add Algonquin...should anyone want to play along. :)

This is an odd coincidence, and I'll get harassed about this but hey, good luck with that. ;) I just got 162 free VHS tapes with a working player and rewinder and then he gave me a 6 shelf lawyer's type cabinet too. One of these tapes is 'The last of the Mohicans' but I haven't watched it yet. Been a loooooong time since I saw this. ;)

I remember that canoe. Thought it was cool then, and still do.

It is so cool and it looks older and better made than most of the canoes I flipped through on Liveauctioneers. If you're thinking of selling it you might want to reach out to an auction house as some of the older ones look like they bring good money. (I'll guess Iroquois and 100+ years but have no idea really.) Sold for $90, $1400, $275.

Gee, this reminded me that my sister and I had a canoe, though not as nice as yours. Thanks for the memory! :)

It's about the last 'good" thing I ever bought before I got "poor", the car died, and my arthritis took over.
I am a poor, poor, pitiful little thing. :(

    SIS, thank you for that!
It was suggested that I contact one, at least about if it was a good one or not, but after all the fights and stuff, I could hardly stand the sight of it. LOL

    Iroquois is good too methinks!
I wonder if northern canoes had larger ends and sat higher for icy travel?

Looks right as rain too. Circa 1900.

    Thank you, Don.
One of the reasons I never listed it was that the date ranges I was getting were anywhere from 1890s to 1940s/'50s.
I couldn't do much with that in a listing. :)

I actually don't mind getting old - it's all the crap that comes with it that I hate. :hilarious:

One of these days, I will get up the nerve to get my other hip replaced, and then things will be easier I am sure. LOL
