    I think I know what its design purpose is...an' will reveal that as soon as y'all either ID it correctly, or ignore it in abject frustration. There're no helpful marks, patent dates or other clues on it. Thanks for lookin'!

    'Chesterton's gauge Glass Cutter' or perhaps a Bongo Mounting Bracket ? I have it on good authority you were in a rather celebrated Bongo Orchestra back in your coffee house days.

    Naw...wuz only a Hanger-on. I'm as musical as a stove dropped 6 feet. Frank Zappa was 1 or 2 years ahead of me in our high school, an' he was particularly skilled with Bongos...I barely knew him then, an' didn't follow his music later. Named his kids weird...Moon Unit, an' Dweezil, iirc. One strange fellow!

    Nope. Mission Bay High School, San Diego, California...I was '58, Frank was '57 or '56. Antelope Valley High had to have been before...or after my time there.
