Mystery Bowl, can anybody help me identify?

    More details will be seen for the bottom marks, by using a light at an angle, without the flash. This will create shadows and define what's needed to be seen. Similar to the top view.

    The top view is blurry. Shoot that again with design to what you think the image is to be viewed.

    State what you think it's made of.

    You don't give a size, but it looks like a container to hold ink for a Chinese chop:

    A light background helps to reflect more light, and you won't need a flash.

    Is it soapstone? Size please.

    Also - you can do a rubbing of the bottom with paper, pencil or crayon to lift the marks if photography is not working
