My Grandparent's Clown Lamp

    I would say that this lamp is ugly enough to be a modern art masterpiece, but that might be a compliment.

    This lamp featuring a clown playing a violin belonged to my grandparents. Since their passing, it has been a point of humor in our family. I have no idea where, when, or why they bought the lamp. It is in great condition, except for one broken finger. There are no signatures or marks that would indicate the manufacturer. It is possible that it was on the page after the leg lamp in the catalogue and quite possibly Italian, given the "frageelay" written on the side of the crate.

    Any insights into this lamp will be appreciated. Any jokes or snide comments about it will also be welcome.

    That is really something.

    I'll bet money on it being Italian.

    Amazing only one of the finger's have broken off. They looks incredibly fragile.

    Nice touch with the red bulb.
