My colleague thinks there is a name associated with this unusually shaped art glass vase. It is believed to be Murano, but ID is not positive -- there is a label remnant on the top, but without any remaining readable information. Can anyone tell me anything about this item? The base is ground, but unmarked. Thanks! ... Dave

Found it - she was thinking of "Chalet", usually seen with "Lorraine".

Not Chalet, and I highly doubt Lorraine.

It doesn't look familiar to me.

I have seen it called a "Splash Vase" (I highly doubt that is what the manufacturer called them though)

I have seen ones similar that were French. That might give you another direction to look at.

The French and Belgian ones are usually clear. I think that's Italian.

    Bear,

The reason I tossed out French, is I saw one recently with a label on it that was in fact coloured glass and not the typical clear. Damned if I can remember where though LOL
