IMG_5374.JPG My mother in law passed away and we're starting to clean out her home. She collected antiques FOREVER. I'm trying to find some value on some key items. Some we plan to keep and some we'll sell. Right now though, there's this Morse Magneto Clock Company watchman clock that we found. It doesn't have the key. And as for value, I can't find anything. I can't tell how rare this is or anything. I'd really like more info if possible.

Ah! Thank you! I couldn't figure out how to find the sold items. There's so much she had and we don't even know where to begin and how to sell all of it. Old fans, National cash registers, tools, etc.

Go slow. We encourage you to research before selling.
Be sure to ask grand-kids if there is anything of interest to them.

Don't give old Pyrex to the thrift stores.

Post as many questions as you want. You can group several glass items in one thread. Do the same with pottery.

Thank you! There's a bunch of brand new vintage Tupperware, phones, etc. I'll definitely keep an eye out for the Pyrex! There will be some for sure because we found BOXES of dishes, new and used. I'll try a few things on the sell forum for sure.

Thank you. I'm new to all of this so not fully aware of all the rules. I wish I knew what the key looked like in case she maybe had it on that table where I found it.

These clocks usually had a multi-lever key or the later ones a small Yale type key, to open the case, and another conventional clock key to wind it.

The cases were locked to prevent tampering. There is usually some device to insert to mark the paper to show the watchman did his rounds.
