Morris Katz painting

Greetings, hope everyone is doing well.
I got this Morris Katz painting and wanted to ask you about. First of all is it an original? I did some research and it appears to be legit. I am also curious about the label. My interpretation of label is that late artist made this for special event, maybe a charity auction, or similar event. What are your thoughts? The size of the painting in 9.5”x7.5”. The prices are all over. Seems to have some value, or not. I have low expectations (that’s how I stay positive all the time) I like it and I think I’ll keep it whatever it is. Sounds like a Bob Ross situation. A one man painting factory. Have brush... will travel.

 

Mr Katz was holding world record of being fastest painter.

 

I saw him once at a social function, when I was teenager. He was the entertainment, he talked, kibitzed, and painted. Some lucky person got to take home a creation.

Cool. Thanks James. This sure takes talent and imagination, quick thinking and creativity. He had it all. Did Mr. Katz have a thick Polish accent?

Nope.
It was in the mid 70's, a church club fundraiser dinner, and I was there as a server and sold raffles. Did not have time to enjoy the show.

Maybe it can be seen in one of these youtube...
