I was wondering if someone might know the maker of this vase? Couldn't find a makers mark or anything. Thank you for any info.

Similar to Noritake. Lots of similar style items were made, most are not attributable. The marks on the bottom say 17

Look at BiBi marks in the Japanese section of Gotheborg.

Bulldogs had one of theirs not too long ago.

It's not possible to say either way without a mark. Many similar items were made by different companies, they often had the exporters or wholesalers printed marks on. Records were largely lost in the war, as such if it's not marked and not a referenced pattern then attribution will be best guess. It is worth searching google images for Noritake, if you can find the same vase with one of their marks then you have your maker.

Edit: Just to add identifying the maker isn't going to make a monetary difference in this case, such items are well known to be inter-war Japanese, and problems with identification are well known. The market is very weak at present, so it would be nice to find out who made it, but it's not going to have any significant effect on it's worth.

Doesn't look like a Bibi mark to me. Beautiful vase though.

I would expect Noritake to have a more porcelain like and polished appearance? Or am I thinking of Noritake a decade or two later?
