Any thoughts as to style , or era ?

The diamond tests as authentic, and I was told it's white gold on yellow gold but haven't tested for content .
On the top of the pin closure there are faint numbers ... 3 1 4 , and an unidentifiable 4th character but I haven't been able to get a clear close up photo.

    It's 2 and a half inches long.
    Faint scratching on the underneath are sellers marks ....130 / 1 / 12 /
The cutouts look hand made , as I think the whole thing is.....& I'm content that it's just a nicer older bench made item.

So...any thoughts would be welcomed. !:)

It was cast from a lost wax mold. The small details, like the holes, needed to be cleaned up by hand after casting. I would doubt there is yellow underneath.

1st pic....above the diamond ..to the left and right....are what look like saw lines.
I'll take a loop to it soon and see if I'm seeing what I think I''m seeing....

Casting sounds plausible .....but I can see where the top section has been laid down upon the bottom section .

White gold top appears to be die struck with soldered plate for the diamond. The bottom yellow gold gallery can't be enlarged to see the detail, but looks to have solder balls or casting bubbles on the wires. It is real hard to place the date since casting wasn't used much till after 1940,it could be a more modern reproduction.

I thought about that because it may have the right age for a marriage of metals.....but the only makings are those I've already listed.....& they ain't much !! :hilarious:.....:sour::sour::sour:

I had a pin that was exact or nearly exactly like this from my grandmother. Gave it to my great-niece because she loved it.
