Featured modernist sterling cuff bracelet - unknown mark

Any idea who made this bracelet? Stone?

 

It seems to be Desert Rose Trading. I'm not finding any without the mark also including the word China, so it could be the wrong DTR. I have not clicked around very long, tho.

From here, stone looks like lapis lazuli.

 

Think the stone is more purple than lapis. Low quality amethyst or maybe dyed quartz?

 

Sugilite !

 

It photographs as blue & opaque. Amethyst can be cloudy but is not opaque. If it really is quite purple, sugilite is a possibility. I expect there will be more suggestions from the troops.

It was my first thought too. Sugilite is opaque purple.

Another one. Says purple lepidolite. Mine is not as dark but maybe the same.

 

Not a stone I'm familiar with, but from what I've seen even yours is darker than the usual.

I take a contrary opinion..... and contend that my assertion is well founded in the annals of Antiquers threads both historic and recent , and that as a jewelry dealer since 1990 , I have handled this type of stone on many occasions and state my conclusions to be factual & accurate !!

So, in conclusion........ I'm stickin to my first thought !!

 

Here is a pic in strong LED light. Looks more like the samples shown. Reading the info about the company, the owner tries to source unusual stones.

 

There are more mineral varieties than are dreamt of in your philosophy...
