    No signatures found. The type of rim suggests a missing lid?

    Yes, seems to be missing a lid, but what hold it in place, though?

    Pitcher works for me

    Yes, it originally had a lid. Probably a recent studio pottery piece, meaning it will be difficult to identify the potter. But it's a unique style, so probably not too many other potters have ever made anything like it, so someone may recognize the work.

    If it wasn't a pitcher, it would be a rocket vase.:rolleyes: I'm imagining the finial on the lid had space age look, too.
