It may be a mass produced piece that’s nearly brand new but it struck me as individual enough to bother asking the question as to if anyone recognised the style? It’s some sort of good quality plastic if there is such a thing!
Apologies that it’s not even vintage!
    Thanks :)

How does it attach around the neck? Looks like it would make a chic unique dog collar.

I think it's one of those necklaces that have a knot in each end of the cording and it just slides futher open and closed.

    Maybe that’s what it is!
It has leather straps with a slidey thing to adjust the length.

It's been awhile since I had a dog, but of my two most recent, had I put that on them?

One would have eaten it :woot:and the other would have had a nervous breakdown. :nailbiting:

What do I say when a buyer asks if it has come from a pet free home?:hilarious:

Have you ever noticed that when we don't really have a good answer, we quickly get silly? Looks good as a collar. Does friction alone keep it at the desired length? Has to be signature look for someone, not a home hobbyist piece.

It does look alarmingly good doesn’t it!. Probably in London or New York no one would bat an eye lid at a dog wearing a necklace but in rural Gloucestershire..........
Maybe I could start a thread where I take a photo of my dog wearing different jewellery every day and see how many likes I get!:hilarious:

100% agree. Especially when it chases anything that moves and ends up in the next county .
Sales technique- buy the necklace and get the dog free!

    Hi,
Two of my cats used to wear 18KT gold bracelets from Italy on their necks. When your names were Eisenhower and Stonewall Jackson and you are female, had to add some bling!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

You could start a Pinterest board & see which looks are most popular. I use jewellery on my Christmas tree, but not on the cats.

When I sell, I flat out state that I cannot promise allergen free & suggest they not buy if severely allergic.

It's possible, if I ever again sell anything, I'll just start with: MY HOME IS A TOXIC WASTELAND OF CHEMICALS AND PET HAIR. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.:joyful:

Well of course. 18K is fitting for their royal Furry Majesties.

I sometimes include a picture of my cat as the last image. If that doesn't get the point across nothing will.
