Something like that. These turn up regularly. They're apparently made of silver tin foil.

Or in the many shops selling religious statues and images, particularly found around the Vatican, where the lady will help you choose the hand carved baby Jesus with the sweetest face (present for my mother).
I have even seen them in shops selling religious items here in the Netherlands.

 

Pretty little piece of art. That design would look great on a coin.
