Featured Miniature basket made of hair

This tiny little basket is only 7/8" wide and 1/2" tall. I was told it was made out of horse hair. I am curious if anyone might know the Native American tribe that might have made this? Thanks for the help!

 

Not sure of who made it.....but it looks like Pine needles and not horsehair to me. Need a close-up pic to be sure though.

 

No, horsehair for sure; in that size, it would likely be impossible to do with pine needles. But the technique is the same as that used for pine-needle baskets.
It would be Tohono O'odham; a Native American people of the Sonoran Desert, residing primarily in the U.S. state of Arizona and the Mexican state of Sonora.
Formerly called Papago; but that name has been rejected by the people concerned.
