Milk Glass Plate

Looks like it might be an under plate for a gravy boat or such.

 

That is what it looks like,,gravy boat underplate !! Is it translucent as the older milk glass is ??

 

Do the streaks of color make it slag glass rather than milk glass? Or does milk glass sometimes have streaks like that?

The early milk glass had streaks as it got older it became the the dense white color from the 50s on.

It looks very similar to Fostoria milk glass Jenny Lind Pattern vanity tray without the cameo in the center.



I can only find two that are blank in the center, and can't find any history of the pattern or any reason why they would have been made without the portrait of Jenny Lind in the beaded medallion in the center.

Hopefully someone else in the board horde might know or can figure it out, if not.

Yours appears to be satin glass as well as milk glass.
I agree with lauragarnet - Vanity tray.
