An interesting painting of a man being weighed on a scale. What looks like possible sacks of money/gold/silver is on the opposite side to him.

Not sure if it means the value of a person is worth more than money.

The interior painted image is 32" by 20"

It does look like painting on paper to me.

There is nothing on the back except where a paper label fell off.

I would like to find out a reasonable price to sell it at.

I thought the fountain at the bottom was an interesting touch. MEManonScales3.jpg

The Middle Eastern man is an Indian boy.;)
Most turban wearers live in South Asia, not the Middle East.

Anyone know any more about this painting from knowledge of the field? I've never dealt in something that similar as far as origin and type of work.

It is a copy of a Mughal miniature painting. The size of yours makes me think it is not of the period, probably late 20th century, but it is very nicely done.
Mughal style paintings are still being made in India.

Mughal and Persian miniature paintings are not as small as Western miniatures, they are usually book pages.
