I purchased this bed from an individual in Mississippi several years ago. At the time, I did notice that there was writing on the inside of the foot board but didn't put much thought in to it. The bed is currently waiting for a new mattress which has given me time to look closer at the writing.

I thought the signature was only on the footboard but I found it on all four sides of the bed. Along with the signature (first, middle and last?), which is very hard to read, there is a stamp (see pics).

Any suggestions on how to proceed in being able to read the signature is greatly appreciated. I'm also curious on what the stamped number means.

    Thank you!

All I can make out is the word Cherry in your second pic of writing. Using software to manipulate the photos may help you to read them. There are some folks here that are good at doing this so perhaps they will come along. Would think the stamped numbers have to do with production. The bottom part looks like co-joined letters to me. YI ???? Perhaps this is your maker.

I gave it a try, the first one really looks like Cherry, I can't make out the second one:

Could the second one be Mulberry?

And the other one looks like it says "6 inch" to me.

I was thinking it was a person's first, middle and last name however, I think you are correct, "cherry". To me, the handwriting is beautiful! Something one doesn't see anymore and, that is a shame.
