A while back my aunt gave me a cedar chest full of quilts that belonged to my great grandparents. Tucked away at the bottom of the chest I found a porcelain Mickey and Minnie Mouse; Minnie is stamped with WALT DISNEY PROD, and Mickey is signed by T. Day. Both items are in amazing condition, and the colors are beautiful. I have tried and failed to find anything out about the pieces due to the sheer amount of Disney pieces that are out there. Any information on age, signer, or value would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

      • Gene Day
      • Max Day
      • Nothing on the bottoms?

I'm pretty sure these were hobbyist items sold ready to paint.

That could very well be and a good job at that!
I do not expect Disney would've allowed a signature there either. Now that I think of it, knowing first hand of the practice... 'Only' Disney makes Disney things. No one else is capable. :p

Is it possible that I thought was "T. Day" is in fact D. Day? There's nothing on the bottom; the only markings are pictured. Any info on D. Day?

I think the glaze looks so well done that I'd be surprised if it was done by a hobbyist. But that's just a guess on my part.

    Welcome to Antiquers, Jlittle!

There would be no reason to sign it unless it was done by a hobbyist. There's no art involved in painting a solid blue and black suit.
