Michael Gibney Tuscan Coin Silver Forks

    Also, the other marks with the eagle, are those Gibney’s?

    Okay - so that explains the Ball, Tompkins marking as retailer. Good. But it doesn't explain the difference between the worn marks that "might be" Gibney's and the ones shown on Sterlingflatwarefashions. (Obviously, there may be other marks for him. But I haven't found another source yet.)

    Oh, sorry.
    Still curious about the different weight. Is it possible other makers did the same pattern at later point?

    Even in sterling patterns some makers (like Gorham) made a pattern in multiple "weights." The different weights were usually marked differently, though. Maybe part of the marking on these represents weight.
