Featured Mexican Silver hallmark Help

    just brought this piece - and can't work out the markers mark. - checked the mexican silver hallmarks book - no luck
    Google lens the necklace - looks like a similar piece by Fred Davis but not the same hallmark
    Appreciate any info - thanks

    It's an older mark. After 1948 they included an Eagle mark with a number inside; the number was the region or specific smith who made it. The smith's mark looks like AR? Sterling silver marked in three different ways and Made in Mexico. Not expert enough to know who AR might be. Nice necklace though.

    I agree, and older mark.
    There are several AR marks, most of them not indentified. This one is an AR in Mexico D.F., so the Mexico City area.
