Mexican? Lamp

  1. I'm thinking 50s but I don't know, can anyone help? Has a metal base and the light shines through her dress. She is mother of pearl

    The "mother of pearl" look to her is called "opalescent glaze" on the porcelain. I have not seen another like this. Are their any markings on the bottom?

    She doesn't look "Mexican" to me, more Spanish.

    I don't know about yours, but the one on etsy was made in a ceramics shop, like those Christmas trees. It has the hobbyist's initials and date scratched in.

    The OP's light looks more refined than the one on etsy. I suspect the OP's is the inspiration for the hobby mold.

    If there are markings, the lamp would probably have to be taken apart to find them.

    Given hair-do and "bullet" bra, 1950s would be right.
