Metal Wizard Statue

Does anyone know what this may be? I have not been able to find anything out about this item. It is made of metal and is hollow. The cup he is holding has a hole in it, as if you could put something in it. The bottom has an engraved signature, but I can not make it out. It does have the number 85, a date perhaps?

Why 'wizard'? I'm thinking more 'religious' figure with some sacred book or other... the hole looks to be about the right size for a candle.

 

The back of the hood looks more like a wizards cape to me, but could certainly be religious as well.

 

Folks here can make astounding deductions or recognitions... but they'll want photographs of back, side, top, base, too. At this point, I don't know if we can help much more based just on the one photo.

Made of metal? How can u tell? Nothing on it looks metal except the cup thing and that could be an insert. Rest looks very like resin.
