Metal Barrel Shaped Object, Incomplete?

Hello,

Looking for anyone to identify what this object is, it's possibly incomplete as one end is open.
I first thought it was possibly a miniature cannon barrel but there are no trunnions.
Measures roughly 6.5"
Any help would be appreciated as I am a bit stumpped.

It might be helpful to see a better view of the decoration on the middle portion of the barrel.

I think it is a miniature cannon, with or without trunnions, possibly reproducing a type from Asia/India/Islamic region. The small protrusion near the breech may have been a mounting lug, similar to the mounting system for this one:

Thanks, I hadn't seen a miniture with a stand like that.
As i'll be listing this as a charity auction on eBay I need to be pretty sure what it is, I think the metal is bronze, would you agree?
