I rescued these from the latest clearance, they were in a large album that had been badly water damaged and infested with mice.
More than 90% of them were damaged beyond help.

The memorial cards date from 1859 to 1866.

Two are from Lincolnshire, but the others have no location.

The cabinet cards are all from Lincolnshire except 2 which are from Pittston PA, USA

Very cool. The guy with the suspenders looks like an Abe Lincoln relative?

He reminds me of a TV personality we have over here called Guy Martin, he's a retired TT rider and speed king and also a part-time farmer they are both from the same area.

I think the boy on the left in the US photo has a deformed shoulder, or no arm at all with a false hand.
It's longer than his other arm and the bicep area looks non-existent.

    I think it's a strap on, so to speak.
It's definitely an unnatural stance, but he's probably 170 years old now.
It's a shame I couldn't save the other stuff, lots of Presbyterian and Methodist bibles, Sunday school papers etc

In fact, the US couple look to be holding bibles.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Enlarging & enhancing......I'm "HALF" thinking it's mostly the wrinkling in the sleeve, just IMHO!! BUT love all the cards!!!!!!!!!!!:singing:

It should be possible to identify that family. Pittston was a small town in the early Victorian era, just a few thousand people. There's a historical society with a web site and Facebook page and the 1850 census is available on line.
