I went hunting in one of the tins of miscellaneous that was probably apart of the emptying of the junk drawer growing up, 70’s and or 80’s. There were many family trips together throughout AB, SASK and MAN those early years. We picked up many little things along the way. This piece could have been one of them but I don’t recall it and yet it’s familiar, anyways...

In my search, I stretched my brain for how else I could search it and get better results than what I was getting, almost zilch and “Flagg Company” which looks like a jeweller in BC on the Google hit but going to the website, they’re a shoe company... what!? Aargh.

I kinda came close in a photo hit. It was the same sort of shape but not design. It was about Pewter in Saskatchewan and as I recall, a keychain.

Anyways, this made my brain sore. Anyone got a good direction to point me in?

    Non magnetic.

Maybe when they summarized the business they were in, they preferred to emphasize the almost-jewellery aspect over things like key chain tags that were not gold or silver.

Die stamped copper souvenir token, factory made and a little like inserting a copper penny into a rolling machine at various tourist locations.

But I wonder... Flagg and Company is not Flagg Company like on the back of the thingamajig, or, does that matter? I’m pretty sure this piece ain’t anything yet its history is a curiosity. Since I got drawn into collecting coins, I’ve been looking at other things differently. I dug this piece out of junk but some pieces, shapes and such caught my eye so much that I had to arrange and photograph the valueless. Even what some of them are, came from and do is interesting.

Lol, yeah I know... crazy Canadian

The larger buckle says England. Haven’t searched the plate.

There is something before the C in Company, although it kind of looks like N, as in Flagg 'n' Company. How many Canadian Flagg companies that made this sort of thing can there be?

Are a couple of the items in your miscellaneous metal collection skate keys? Maybe not sturdy enough. Some resemblance to those gizmos for getting every last bit out of a toothpaste tube.

I see one thing that looks like the post for a scrap book, although you would expect to find 3 if they had been replaced by longer ones.
