Matching Twin beds ID and Age?

    We've had these in our family since the 1970s. Acquired from our family attorney and they were old looking back then. VI stamped on the rails(Louis?) 20160506_124523-1280x1784.jpg 20160506_124641-1280x873.jpg 20160506_124612-1280x1348.jpg
    Curious about their true age and about what the value would be as is..obviously they need to be restored.

    I'd give them a drink of some thinned down Danish Oil - I'm sure that will improve their value if you are trying to sell them.

    I would think Hollywood regency, from the '50s or '60s. Sort of thing you'd expect to see in a Doris Day/Rock Hudson movie, or a sitcom like the Dick Van Dyke show.

    Didn't we just do a virtually identical bed? 1950-60s version of a Louis XV bed.
