Marshall Mitchell

    IMG_4438.JPG IMG_4437.JPG IMG_4436.JPG IMG_4435.JPG I have this bronze but I don't know much about it. It is signed Marshall Mitchell and its beautiful. Other then that I don't know much. I would love to know the date it was created, the value, and about the artist.

    Never heard of him before, but a quick google search revealed Marshall Mitchell (1917-2001) was a very prolific sculptor of western subjects. As for dates, at some point between the time he mastered his craft and his demise, so "mid century" would be safe.

    So I did that and I guess there are do many fakes of his work that I really can't tell this is fake or not. Most of his signatures do not have a dotted "i" and mine does. So I just don't know. I also did an assessment on artifact.com and have yet to hear back.
