The mark is listed as that of Lebkuecher of Newark, New Jersey. But the blurb for the firm says nothing about plate. That may be an oversight, or, because the firm was bought out in 1918 and the buyer continued to use the Lebkuecher mark, it may have been made by them instead. Rainwater gives roughly the same info.

Did Eleder - Hickock Co make silverplate?

The section in Rainwater about Eleder-Hickok says nothing about plated wares only "sterling novelties". The same goes for the firm that they became (and may have still used this mark) Hickok Matthews Company. "...manufacturers of sterling holloware and presentation pieces." Rainwater shows this same L in crescent moon mark with the note "on novelties."

Thanks. Well, now we know they did make silverplate. Not just the lack of sterling mark. I see brass showing here and there.

Good to know. Without "sterling" I was pretty sure anyway, but that kind of wear clinches it.
