    Hi
Does anyone recognise this mark on the underside of a glass hyacinth vase.
    Thanks

An odd thing, I think, is that the 1 at the top should indicate metal.

Brian, can you pop up a photo of the whole thing, for interest please?

    hey, here it is.
It was my wife’s. She put it on eBay and got offered £50 for it so I guess it’s a good one!

Ooooh, I hope she's holding out for more! I'd give 50 pounds for it in a hot minute!

PLEASE, if it's still up for sale, can you provide a link?

Hi, sorry she accepted £50 for it yesterday.
How old was it? What do you reckon it was worth?

If I’m reading the registration mark correctly, I believe the vase is from 1877. IMHO, it’s probably worth at least three times your sale price but others may think differently.

Oh, that’s gorgeous. I suspect the fifty quid was fair and that one of the hyacinth vases fanatics bought it. If the buyer is called Julie, she runs that blog.

    It's lovely and so unique!
I've not seen one with the etched registration mark and the decoration. Just beautiful! I, for one, would have been willing to pay top dollar for it.

Any thoughts on why the registration mark is for a metal object? Might it have had something metal as part of it?

My surmise is that the registry mark might relate to the etching pattern, and that it was originally used on a metal object. Silver perhaps.

that needs packing with real caution, it’s got an annealing shear.
