Mark on a pocket watch chain - need some help please.

    This chain is 28" long from hook to ring.

    Would this be considered a cable chain?

    I am not sure what the chain & hook are made from but that ring which appears out of place looks like it could be gold or rolled gold judging by color.

    It is marked on the hook "RHT" but I could not find anything about that mark.

    RHT is all I see too. Classic curb chain design.

    With those round links it is a belcher chain, also called a rolo chain.:)
    A curb chain has flattened links with a twist in them, so the chain lies absolutely flat.
