I picked up this photograph measuring 8" x 10" is it Marilyn Monroe? I mean, it looks like her. Regretfully, it is not signed nor is there any info on it. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. mm1.jpg mm2.jpg mm1.jpg mm2.jpg mm3.jpg mm4.jpg mm5.jpg mm6.jpg

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

The close-ups look a little grainy to me... so it's possible that this is some other kind of print, not photographic. By that I mean, there was an original photograph but this might be a reproduction made by some other sort of printing method. Of course, I can't see the surface of the paper it's on. Some photographs have textured paper that doesn't reproduce well in digital form.

He took some really wonderful pictures of her. Have never seen that one before, however. That one looks like the 'real' Marilyn, doesn't it.

Tie dye cat hit the nail on the head, opened the floodgates. Melton Greene, so it's a very rare picture, cool. His son sells her pictures but in a bigger format for 7000. The picture I have is an 8 x 10 " on photo paper with the image bearing some semblance to silver gelatin photographs, in that the black reflects silvery, whatever that means. Wonder if stuff like that was around in 1956 which was when that picture was taken. Thanks.
