    @bercrystal

    (or anyone else who knows perfumes...)

    Is this Marcel Franck worth listing? The glass is quite nice, but wasn't sure how to date it. Glass is flat and smooth on the front, sides are cut in sort of a "V" Shape. No chips or cracks, but needs a good cleaning. Label on base. As for condition, there is some green gunk on the brass part, I haven't really tried to work on this, but some of it easily wiped off, so possible it is cleanable. Didn't want to put a lot of work into it unless worth listing. ( I would define "worth listing" as if this bottle had a chance of $24.99 or more.) Thanks for taking a look!

    This appears to be a c.1935 bottle. Personally I would clean up the outer bottle with a q-tip dipped in alcohol so you don't ruin the original label on the bottom. You may also want to look carefully at the bottom of the bottle for an etched signature because they did use some bottles made by Baccarat.

    The green stuff is the same stuff that develops on jewelry. A little lemon juice on a q-tip should kill the greenies.

    I would think $24.99 is quite possible & you may be able to do even better because of the cut bottle.

    Excellent info Peggy, thank you! Also good idea on the outer bottle w/Q-tip alcohol. I was wondering how best to clean -- didn't want to wreck that label.

    Will take a look at the base. I'm pretty much of a signature spotter (thank god for progressive lenses...) but will go back and look for sure. It was the quality of the glass on this that sold me even thought the dreaded green gunk was there.

    Will keep you posted if any exciting developments. Thanks! :):):)

    Forgot to ask, should I clean the inside?

    Personally I would leave that alone. Some collectors like their bottles to have the smell of perfume. If they do not they can clean that little bit out with very little effort.
