Featured Marcasite Dangle Earrings from 1890s or 1990s?

Picked these up a while ago and tried my best to definitively narrow it down to an era and haven't been able to yet. Tested sterling but no hallmark, hooks look like they may have been gilded at one point, marcasites held in with a clawed collet, fine milgrain, cast shapes and the bottom wreath worked together with a wire instead of mounted flat.







Has this "mark" on one earring. Since they're cast and the other is unmarked this feels like it would be a deliberate addition, but I can't tell what it is, if anything.


I don't think they're necessarily 1890 or 1990 but it was a fun title.

I was thinking I liked the oxidized look with the marcasite. The green I was going to spot clean.

The maker's mark looks like a scratch to me which would also make sense as it's only one one earrings. I agree with AJ on age.
