Madonna And Child Plaque Can't figure out who made it please help

    Have you tried taking a rubbing of the signature?

    Put a piece of paper over the signature.
    Hold it in place and use a soft pencil, or crayon to gently rub over the signature. Sometimes letters will stand out so you can decipher the name.

    You can also rub cornstarch or baby powder (cinnamon on white items) into the grooves, then dust off and the powder stays in the grooves so you can try to make out letters.
    Not sure I would try this on the red clay. You might not be able to get it out of the grooves and not sure you want to try washing it.
