M Russell 1889 watercolor ? The alarm bell

    Charles M. Russell, I think it must be a print of some sort. He is a famous western artist.

    Have you looked at it with a loupe or magnifying glass? Can you see dots?

    I would assume it's a multiple as his work has been so widely reproduced. His foundation includes 'The Alarm Bell' on their web site; you can always inquire as to the location of the original. But you might want to open the back up and see if you can find an answer there. (It does appear rather faded, by way.)

    I know the fading affects value but it doesn’t really bother me I still like it , I was trying to avoid it but I guess I’m gonna have to open up the back

    There is an app you can put on your phone. I use the magnifying + which is good enough to see the dots. Its free.
