Found these and I'm very curious! The container has "Luxor Airex" king of the air, made in USA. Next line reads E.B Meyrowitz Inc. New York. It's on a hinge and flips open. Printed on the leather on the googles is "Patented May 8 1928" on either side. The few I've found online have very different containers and don't have the blueish color to the lens. Also the hinge in between the eyes is adjustable. I'm curious about the history and value as well as any other facts. This might be my favorite find thus far!

They're aviator goggles from the open cockpit era, but they may well have been used by a motorcycle rider. Bikers used aviator pieces since bike-specific pieces were either not made or not locally available. I've seen mentions that they were used during WWI, but don't know enough about specific manufacturers and models to know values. I just watch American Pickers too much!

May or may not be military

Any door gunner would have needed something like these

The lenses were changeable with a number of colors available

Usually when found they are in poor condition

I would expect $100-200 for this condition

With a patent date of 1928, that would put them after WWI.
Could still be aviator, motorcycle or race car?

Or all of the above; the equipment was multi-purpose.
