Lunt silver plated container - what is it?

    I usually avoid anything silver plated - I hate polishing it, and I usually don't like the look.
    However, this appealed to me - I like the simplicity of design and the textured bottom half. It's 4" tall.
    Is this a cigarette box? I figure it's too new to be a tea caddy.

    Hi,
    It reminds me of part of a travel kit. Perhaps for Q-tips.

    Somewhere in the back of my mind, seem to recall this held a shaving brush, circa 1980s - but find no verification of that, and along with my eyesight, my brain is failing rapidly...

    Its the right size, and I have seen many of the same type of travel container for brushes. I might even have one laying about.................I'll give it look see.................

    That seems a bit too wide for a shaving brush - dammit, wish my memory was what it used to be...

    I have two new in the (cardboard) box brushes here and the boxes measure 2" square by 6" tall. One brush is 3-3/4" tall, the other 5" tall.
