Featured Lubin France Perfume Bottle

Estate find. Seems like these sell expensive and I don't want to take chances on Ebay with low starting bid. Maybe BN with BO?

 

Oh my goodness, Kardinalisimo, what an interesting and quite striking in appearance perfume bottle.

Just curious but . . . were you the first person in the line when the estate sale opened? You didn't have to spar with any other estate sale goers, did you?

Just kidding, but I have witnessed such at a few estate sales over the years.

 

It's funny. I went there because I saw some Chinese pieces on the online preview. No close-up pics that would make me wake up at 5am so I went a bit before letting people in. Luckily not a lot in front of me but I was from the second round.
The first number was Chinese familly and they started running towards the house. Of course when I got inside they were all over the Chinese pieces. Still managed to get few because they were not big experts. They even left some after 30 min debating so I grabbed them too.
I would not pay attention at the perfume bottle if the Chinese did not look at it and put it back.
Honestly, I would have not bought it just by appearance but I managed to see the mark on the base. Very faint and if not looked at certain angle and light exposure you won't see it. That is why nobody was over it.
I'm about to post some Chinese porcelain. Nothing special.

 

LOL. It's music to my ears that you didn't have to get up at 5 a.m. to buy that very interesting piece.
