Does anyone know anything about old welders? We're looking to sell this welder, but don't really know enough about it to market it for what it truly is. Hammett Electric Mfg. Co. Model number says 15. The sides are all made out of wood (at first view, everything on it appears to be original.

I found a mention through a Google search indicating that manufacturers used wood in place of metal wherever possible during times of war. Accounting only for that information, this suggests anywhere between 1915-1945.

    Thanks.

why does it have 230 Volts on the primary side ? where are you ? in a country where they have 230 Volts AC ?
I personally wouldn't trust the old cables and exclude any warranty when selling; too much risk that someone electrocutes himself when trying to use it again before it was tested by an electrician.
