I got this chair a couple of years ago and now I’m wondering if it’s a antique, looking for any type of info on it. Thanks!

It is antique. Looks to be oak ca. 1900, Renaissance Revival

Can we see the bottom of the seat please? I wonder if it was a cane seat.

It won’t let me attach a picture because the file is too big and I don’t know how to make it smaller.

Email photo to yourself as Medium, that will resize it.

If the pic is on your phone, email it to yourself as size medium to resize it for this site which has a limit of 1MB.

Looks to me as if it had a cane seat originally, but I’m not a Furniture pro.

The lady who I bought it from said each of the grandkids got one and it was in a set of 12. Wishing I had all of them!

that's a lovely story....but it ruined any solid value that they may have had.....

so, a single chair...even this nice....is now a project for someone to re- cane the seat...
ask $50....and be prepared to discount,,,,,,,

Value is very dependent on where and how selling. That $50 price would be about double what I would hope for in my Midwest location.
