I have a J.Pinder & Co tea pot I am hoping to learn some more about

Internet searches have turned up nothing on it.

It is stamped J.Pinder & co Sheffield on the bottom as well as a stamped 4 and 015 above and below the company name

The pot is tapers toward the top, has individual panels which each have a unique design that looks hand made rather then stamped to me.

the handle is separated from the pot body by two wooden washers.

the lid lifter has a fine thread bolt that does not look to be had cut

It has obviously been used as the inside has residue lining the sides of the pot.

The bottom is also discolored in places from regular use

Any info on this would be appreciated

It's in the style of a Georgian silver pot, but it's late 19th C silver plate. The information about Pinders is spot on. Very little worth, sadly.

The photos aren't closeups of the designs and not in focus, most like the pot was made on a patterned rolling machine.

would you recommend taking some polish to it? I think it would make a nice display piece but I do not want to ruin the value (such as it is)

    Welcome, Rooster.
That is what it looked like to me as well.
Give it a shine, gently, it will look much nicer.
