To brighten up a miserable day. No particular questions, just sharing, but love to hear your thoughts . Thanks for looking. Spotted this foil brooch in a £5 job lot on eBay. It matches some beads I have. 9ct dolphins were a surprise bonus not noticed by seller which will balance my books nicely. Not 100% sure the brooch part is original as the smaller cab doesn’t fit very well and it’s poor quality. De Luxe cross. Glass stones look like boiling sugar. They look like little constellations inside each gem. Much bigger than I expected! Lovely little coral brooch. Haven’t tested it yet but sure it’s gold. Sadly I can’t find a hallmark anywhere but it doesn’t look or feel like plate. A Neiger cones brooch. Snapped up as I recognised it but probably will move this on at some point as it’s not really ‘me’.
Not unusual for a little antique brooch. It is probably gold anyway. Lovely. Love the Neiger brooch too. They are all pretty, good score, K.
It’s delicate so maybe under the weight that needed hallmarking? Do you know how old it is likely to be M?
The little coral bar pin looks yummy, like candy. Interested to see the Neiger as I have occasionally run into Egyptian Revival beads attributed to them & thought that was the sort of thing they made. This delicate piece of faux coral & pearls is very different & I would not have guessed.
Neither would I but it seems it’s from the ‘cones’ line. I’ve got a nearly matching bracelet but it’s broken and I’m waiting for Kyratisation inspiration to hit me to get it mended. I’ll see if I can find a photo.
