Featured long shot sig help

hi folks

something i bought years ago but could never find a frame for it. Had to make do with one that didn't fit, but made some borders for it.

think i've shown it before, but found a pencil signatures in the borders that i never saw before while trying to frame it.

theres a rip in the paper but it looks like something-ford Ross

as you can imagine all i am getting is bob ross results

its quite a nice painting actually, maybe a thin oil or perhaps gouache

never found a location either if i remember rightly

any thoughts or info very much appreciated

Could be. And it has another windmill.

Funny enough I was thinking yours could be situated in the Broads, although the region is generally very flat.
Maybe somewhere else in Norfolk?

Yours could be a windmill that was demolished, but it is a start.

 

Painting doesn’t look like the same hand IMHO.
