Hello intrepid Googlers. I'm hoping someone with better RE-search skills than mine can identify the location of this print of an oil by Giacomo Varese (1809-1892) . I bought it on the cheap because it reminded me of Taormina, the crazy cliff-side town in Sicily where I could happily die.
It turns out Varese did do a painting entitled Taormina, but I can't pull up an image of it anywhere. I found the reference on Art Price.com, a pay-through-the-nose-to-see-this site. https://www.artprice.com/artist/131121/giacomo-varese/lots/pasts/1/painting I'm not quite that desperate... yet. Thanks! varese4.jpg varese3.jpg varese2.jpg varese1.jpg

I wonder if it’s an artists interpretation of something like this?
Best I can come up with on a quick look.
